About the Artist
Hello my name is Della and I live in the South of England with my husband and three children. I also share my home with our Dalmatian pup, four Birmans and two British shorthair cats, which keeps me very busy.
I am a self-taught artist and have loved drawing and painting from a young age. I bought my first box of pastels in 1988 and discovered coloured pencil in 2004.
About 15 years ago we used to breed and show Boxers, and it was from there that I started to receive regular commissions. I have sold paintings around the world, as far afield as South Africa. It is a pleasure to know that I have brought joy to many pet owners.
Drawing and painting is something I love to do, and to be able to do something I love for a living is a dream come true for me. My media are pastel and coloured pencil and I only use the finest quality available. I use pastel card for both media. I also use watercolour paper, and velour paper for pastel to give a softer look. I use whichever surface I think will best suit the portrait.
